Heavy Equipment Haul Driver (Lowboy Driver) Fleming Construction Company, L.L.C. Kenner, LA 70062 Family owned 4th generation business seeking an experienced heavy equipment haul driver (lowboy driver). Class A CDL required. Local driving only.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating the

Lowboy:

Safely operate a lowboy truck, adhering to all State and Local traffic laws and regulations, and OSHA regulations.

Loading and Securing:

Load heavy equipment and machinery onto the lowboy without assistance, ensuring it is securely fastened for transport.

Route Planning:

Plan routes, considering weight limits and potential obstacles.

Safety Checks:

Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify any potential issues.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete necessary paperwork.

Communication:

Communicate with dispatch and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.

Additional Duties:

Manual Labor:

May be required to assist with loading or unloading equipment, or to perform basic maintenance.

Off-Road Driving:

In some cases, may be required to drive the lowboy on off-road or unpaved surfaces.

Requirements:

Valid Class A CDL and clear driving record. Current DOT physical and medical card. Minimum two years driving experience and hauling and securing heavy equipment. Some overtime required, some weekend work, flexible hours needed.

$25.00 – $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
