Job Description
Are you an experienced CDL Class A Driver with a strong work ethic and a desire to work outdoors with a skilled team? Staffmark is hiring a CDL Class A Equipment Operator to join a reputable tree and stump removal company based in Slidell, LA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right candidate.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM (overtime and weekend work may be required, especially during storm season)

Based on experience
What You’ll Be Doing:
Operate a CDL Class A vehicle (flatbed) to load, transport, and deliver heavy equipment to and from job sites Assist with tree and stump removal projects directly on-site Safely operate heavy machinery (certifications and prior experience preferred) Conduct routine vehicle and equipment inspections Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all DOT and company safety regulations May require extended hours and weekend availability, particularly during hurricane or storm recovery efforts
What We’re Looking For:
Valid CDL Class A license (required) Heavy equipment operation experience highly preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Clear MVR and ability to pass pre-employment screening(s) Safety-focused and willing to learn new tasks Strong work ethic and reliability Casual dress code: steel-toe boots, pants, shirts with sleeves, safety glasses and hard hat when required Willingness to grow with the company—this position can turn into a long-term opportunity
