Skid Steer Operator Position Available In St. Tammany, Louisiana

Skid Steer Operator GLO Resources LLC Mandeville, LA 70471 GLO Resources is currently hiring a skilled Skid Steer Operator with experience in earthmoving operations to serve the Greater New Orleans area and its surrounding regions, including the Northshore. The pay range will be between $18-$24 per hour, DOE. The standard work schedule is Monday-Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, subject to variation based on weather conditions. Opportunities for overtime may also be available.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller & Skid Steer Operator to join our team in the Greater New Orleans area. The ideal candidate will be skilled in earth moving and base course compaction, with a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This role requires heavy machinery operation, including base rollers and skid steers, ensuring all work is performed to high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate asphalt rollers and skid steer equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure the equipment is in proper working condition.
• Follow site-specific instructions and safety protocols to complete compaction and base course installation tasks.
• Work collaboratively with other operators and site personnel to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain consistent communication to ensure smooth project flow.
• May be assigned other duties.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience with asphalt.
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a skid steer.
• Knowledge of base course installation, compaction techniques, and working with elevations.
• Strong commitment to safety and efficiency on the job.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are required.
• Willingness to undergo drug screening and physical examination prior to employment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, push, kneel, squat, and crouch frequently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Must be physically capable of operating heavy machinery in various outdoor conditions.
