Overhead Crane Operator Design Precast and Pipe, Inc. Arnaudville, LA Arnaudville, LA 70512 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with cranes, and possess a strong mechanical knowledge. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes and heavy machinery to facilitate construction and excavation projects. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials on-site. Responsibilities Operate cranes to lift, move, and position loads as per project specifications. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Collaborate with ground crew members to communicate load movements effectively. Perform routine maintenance on cranes and other heavy equipment, including front loader trucks, water trucks, dump trucks, concrete mixers, and backhoes. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery. Requirements Proven experience in crane operation; certification preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment. Familiarity with various types of heavy machinery including Caterpillar models, front loader trucks, water trucks, dump trucks, concrete mixers, and backhoes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings related to crane operations. Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Physical stamina and strength to operate machinery for extended periods.
