We are a family and veteran-owned company based out of Rehoboth, MA, with over 30 years of experience in both commercial and residential excavation. As a Heavy Equipment Operator at MJD, you will work on various job sites throughout the stages of construction while utilizing our assortment of equipment/machines. Our Heavy Equipment Operators work Monday-Friday, with possible overtime on Saturdays. We are looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy individual with the drive to become a valuable member of our team. Our ideal candidate with have 5+ years’ experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator, a valid and up-to-date 2A hoisting license, a valid and up-to-date driver’s license, and a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities/Skills/Qualifications:

Ability to safely operate excavators, loaders, bulldozers, skid steers, backhoes, etc. Ability to read/interpret site plans. Perform site preparations, trenching, grading, etc. Perform basic equipment/machine maintenance. Follow safety procedures/protocols. Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills. Communication skills. Basic record-keeping skills. Physical stamina required (i.e. ability to withstand heat, cold; ability to lift heavy objects). Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.

$15.00 – $40.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
