Heavy Equipment Operator Job description Local railroad companycurrently seeking a heavy equipment operator for their trackman team.

Full time, permanent opportunity! The ideal candidate will haveexperience operating various types of train and heavy equipment and willbe responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation ofequipment on job sites.

Duties include:

Inspect, maintain, and repairrailroad tracks, including rails, ties, switches, and other trackcomponents. Ensure proper track alignment, ballast distribution, andtrack surface condition. Operate equipment such as track tools, railsaws, and hydraulic jacks for repairs and maintenance. Conduct trackinspections to identify defects, wear, and damage to ensure safetycompliance. Assist in the installation and replacement of rails, spikes,and other track materials. Clear debris and maintain a clean workenvironment around the tracks. Respond to emergency track repairs asneeded to minimize service disruptions. Work in all weather conditionsand physically demanding environments. Adhere to all safety regulations,guidelines, and company policies. Maintain accurate records ofinspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

Highschool diploma or equivalent Must have a valid drivers license Abilityto work in a team-oriented environment and follow instructionscarefully. Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights,weekends, and holidays. Ability to operate track maintenance equipmentsafely and efficiently. Valid driver’s license and reliabletransportation. Work outside in environmental conditions which at timesinclude extreme heat and extreme cold Be able to lift and carry 100pounds and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong physical staminaand the ability to perform manual labor. Background check and drug testrequired

Schedule:

6am-2pm with OT as needed

Pay:
