Heavy Equipment Operator – Power & Energy at Cianbro in Waterville, Maine, United States Job Description Job Responsibilities
Safe operation of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
Responsible for daily inspection of equipment and performing basic repair and maintenance as needed to ensure the safe working condition of all equipment.
Read and understand various types of load charts.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications/ Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator.
Knowledge of operation and maintenance of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
Knowledge of principles and practices of routine and preventative maintenance of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
Knowledge of principles and procedures of documentation and record-keeping including operators’ books.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
Knowledge of safe load securing practices/rigging experience is a plus.
Understanding of hand signals.
State licensing may be required depending upon the state.
NCCER certification is a plus.
