Light Equipment Operator City of Rockland, ME 270 Pleasant Street, Rockland, ME 04841 Overview The City of Rockland is seeking two dependable, skilled individuals to join our Public Works Department as a Light Equipment Operator . This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks and related equipment for the maintenance of roads, parks, and City property, along with other general labor tasks. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Ability to operate various types of construction equipment safely and efficiently. Physically able to perform strenuous work in varying weather. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A valid State of Maine Class B (C.D.L.) driver’s license is preferred., willing to train the right candidate. Pay and Benefits Starting at $25.10 (as of July 1) with a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, vacation, retirement, clothing/boot allowance, and more.
