2 Ray Sennett Drive, Fairfield, ME 04937 BDS Tire Recycling, Inc. based in Fairfield, Maine has an immediate opening for a Loader Operator (night shift, Mon-Thurs, 5pm-5am) for its 16,000 square foot, state-of-the-art, automation-driven tire processing facility in Fairfield. BDS specializes in scrap tire collection, transportation, storage and recycling for customers throughout New England, and the new plant manufactures tire-derived fuel, crumb rubber, and tire wire. This is an exciting time to join this growing Company! A variety of tasks will involve:

Equipment Operation :

Uses a front-end loader to handle processed materials and move scrap tires on the facility grounds.

Material Handling:

Loads trucks with products for shipment and ensure all feed bins are filled with the correct material for the products being produced. Heavy lifting involved.

Pile Management:

Maintains orderly storage of material stockpiles in compliance with DEP regulations and company policies. Communicates with truck drivers to ensure all incoming materials are deposited in the correct storage cells.

Yard Maintenance:

Utilizes attachments such as rotary brooms keep all access routes, fire lanes and exterior paved areas free of tire debris.

Routine Maintenance :

Performs regular maintenance tasks on the front-end loader, including lubrication, refueling, and cleaning; inspects the equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure operational efficiency.

Record Keeping :

Records any incidents or near misses; documents any maintenance performed on the front-end loader.

Safety Compliance :

Understands and follows all required company safety procedures and fully complies with OSHA and other regulatory requirements for job. Minimum Qualifications At least one year of related experience operating a loader or similar equipment. High school education or equivalent preferred. Manual labor work experience preferred. Ability to follow direction and perform tasks unsupervised. Physical strength, dexterity, mechanical ability, and alertness are required. Basic reading and math skills required. Ability to lift 100lbs (pre-employment physical required).
