Grenada, MS The Heavy Equipment Operator operates equipment such as power shovels, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers and large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments. Equipment is used to excavate, load, or move dirt, gravel, or other materials. Responsibilities Operation of crawler-type tractors with various attachments (including scrapers) to make cuts and fills; pile earth, sand, gravel, and rock; level and backfill excavation; finish grade on vertical/horizontal slopes; grade roads; distribute and level gravel, dirt, sand, and rock; drag, winch, or tow materials, debris, and equipment; and clear land of trees, vegetation, and stumps. Will operate a big mobile excavator and bulldozer with various attachments to perform dredging/ditch excavation/shaping/cleanout. Will operate trucks up to and including 15-yard dump trucks. Will operate All-Terrain dump trucks. Will use a variety of hand tools common to manual labor such as shovels, tamps, wheelbarrows, chain saws, rakes, water pumps, seed and fertilizer spreaders, and other similar small tools. Will lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds. Will operate equipment in accordance with

Ensures work orders when complete are properly filled out and returned to work management. Supports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills. This position may be part of an emergency management/response team as required by the company to meet contract requirements Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Valid state driver license or Commercially licensed (CDL) Minimum three (3) years prior experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Possess good computer skills. Ability to weld and do minor body repair preferred. Ability to move and/ or lift up to 80 pounds.
