Tallo's Job Summary: Transportation Infrastructure Maint. Tech. I will receive on-the-job training to operate various equipment such as front end loaders, backhoes, and tractors/mowers. They will also learn skills for bridge construction/repair, sign maintenance, and tree removal. Additionally, they will operate dump trucks, forklifts, and skid steer loaders. The position requires flagging for traffic control, minor herbicide application, and obtaining a CDL A within 11 months of training. Work hours are Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm with 24/7 on-call availability. Pay increases upon obtaining CDL A.
Job Description
Will train on the job to operate a front end loader, backhoe, and tractor/mower. Will also learn skills necessary for bridge construction or repair. Operate skid steer loader and other similar equipment. Operate a forklift in loading, unloading, tiering and transferring equipment, merchandise, freight or stock. Operate single and tandem axel dump truck. Employ skills necessary for sign maintenance. Remove safety hazards from roadways. Supervises and participates in the service, upkeep, and repair of equipment operated. Operate chainsaw and provide other physical labor for tree removal. Perform flagging for traffic control and must complete Flagging Certification Course. Minor application of herbicide. Within 11months on the job training must have learned the skills to obtain a CDL A. Pay will increase once CDL A is obtained. Will work Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm and oncall 24-7.
