Underground utility Coast underground Moss Point, MS 39562 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Utility Worker to join our team. This role is essential in supporting various operations on construction sites, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation and a strong understanding of utility locating and cabling processes. Duties Operate heavy equipment including loaders, backhoes, and bulldozers to assist with site preparation and utility installation. Conduct utility locating to ensure safe digging practices and prevent damage to existing infrastructure. Perform cabling tasks as required, ensuring proper installation and maintenance of utility lines. Assist in the excavation process by digging trenches and preparing sites for construction. Utilize bucket trucks for overhead work, including maintenance of utility lines. Collaborate with team members to ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site. Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs as needed. Experience Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred, particularly in roles involving heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with utility locating techniques and cabling processes is a plus. Experience operating loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards on the job site.
