The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating heavy machinery and working on construction sites. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards of quality. The Specialist will be responsible for operating various types of equipment, collaborating with team members, and contributing to the overall success of construction operations. Duties Assist in site preparation, material handling, and other tasks as required. Marking out digging areas, following construction plans or blueprints Operate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, graders, bulldozers, jackhammers, and loaders on construction sites. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Grading and leveling soil or gravel with some possible landscaping Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively and efficiently Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols at all times. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance. Skills Performing physical labor such as shoveling, wheelbarrowing, heavy lifting, with possible physically challenging conditions when necessary with potential exposure to weather conditions Proficient in heavy equipment operation including but not limited to backhoes, graders, bulldozers, and loaders is helpful but not mandatory Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment on construction sites. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
