Overhead Crane Operator The Bradley Group Harrisburg, NC 28075 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with cranes, and will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position loads safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on construction sites. Responsibilities Operate cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment as per project specifications. Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes and other heavy equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition. Collaborate with ground crew members to ensure safe lifting operations and effective communication during lifts. Perform routine maintenance on cranes, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment for wear or damage. Follow all safety regulations and protocols while operating heavy machinery on-site. Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including load weights and operational hours. Assist in the operation of other heavy equipment as needed, including backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, concrete mixers, and tankers. Qualifications Proven experience in heavy equipment operation with a focus on crane operation. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents related to crane operations. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks associated with crane operations.
