HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
(Hazmat Low)
Primary Responsibility:
Reports directly to Shift Lead, inspect and operates all types of Heavy Equipment Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in support of A/DACG operations, including transportation of HAZMAT loads. Must have a working knowledge of container operations including container lifting systems. Loads and unloads pallets, supplies, equipment from docks, trucks, KLoaders and other conveyances. Enforces safety practices and documents all procedures. Complies with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, and workplace rules.
Major Functions:
Operates lOK forklift in support of mission. Performs site surveys and risk assessments to determine safe lifting capacities, and safe environment of un/loading operations. Reports any maintenance or operational discrepancies to the Shift Lead. Performs Daily Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and maintains equipment logs. Plans and executes the on/offloading of different type of military and commercial containers. Comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, and Working Rules. Performs other duties as assigned.
