Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating excavators and related equipment to perform tasks such as digging, trenching, grading, and loading materials. The ideal candidate has prior experience, a strong understanding of job site safety, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate excavators to perform digging, trenching, grading, and loading activities. Follow site plans, blueprints, or verbal directions to complete tasks accurately. Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure safe operation. Use various attachments (buckets, breakers, augers, etc.) as required. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors on job site progress. Follow all safety guidelines and report any hazards or equipment issues.
Requirements:
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Ability to interpret and follow instructions, plans, and grades. Good communication skills and teamwork. 1-3 years of experience operating excavators or heavy equipment. Experience in construction, demolition, utilities, or similar work environments. OSHA certification or equipment operation training is a plus.
