Heavy Equipment Operator BLC General Contracting & Disaster Management Nebo, NC 28761 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, including but not limited to excavator, skid steer, spider lift, and bumper pull trailer combinations. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform tasks such as digging and debris removal, along with transporting materials efficiently and safely. Job sites vary throughout McDowell County, NC. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including excavator, skid steer, spider lift, and bumper pull trailer combinations. Perform digging operations, vegetation removal, and material handling tasks as required. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Perform various cuts using power chainsaws for vegetation removal as required Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to complete projects efficiently. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery. Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment on site as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in operating heavy machinery such as excavator, skid steer, spider lift, and bumper pull trailer combinations Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards. Knowledge and experience performing debris removal/clearing. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Valid driver’s license is required Must be able to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with the role.

$22.00 – $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
