Job Description
GPS Dozer Operator Superior Skilled Trades Mint Hill, NC 28227 Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a GPS Dozer Operator in the Charlotte, NC area. Work consists of site development, finish work, grading, and foundation work for future apartment and residential buildings.
PAY:
$22-$26/hour (based upon experience and equipment)
HOURS:
40+ hours/ week

Responsibilities:
Fine Grading:
They precisely level and smooth the ground according to engineered site plans, ensuring it’s within tight tolerances. This is crucial before utilities, foundations, or concrete are placed.
Sloping and Contouring:
They create proper slopes for drainage and prepare pads or elevations for structures, roads, and parking lots.
Backfilling and Spreading:
They might spread topsoil or backfill around foundations or utilities to the exact grade needed.
Blueprint Interpretation:
They work from site plans or grade stakes to understand where cuts and fills are needed.
Coordination:
They often work closely with surveyors, grade checkers, and other operators to hit exact specifications.
Qualifications:
4 years or more operating Dozer Experience with GPS guidance system required Experience with underground utility work (water, storm, and/or sewer) Familiar with trenching/shoring techniques Dig on grade and around utilities, soil types, soil compaction, backfilling, Site development and road work experience Must be eligible to work in the United States Must have reliable transportation to & from the job site Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves.
