Track Hoe and Dozer Operator – Rough and Fine Grade Job Description We are a licensed sitework contractor in Charlotte specializing in asphalt, mass grading, concrete, and site utilities. We are seeking several operator technicians for multiple job sites in the Charlotte area. Operators will be responsible for a variety of tasks on the construction site, including operating bulldozers and excavators to fine-grade building pads and lay pipe. Operators must be willing and able to perform labor work as needed and assist the road and curb crew with basic shovel work. Responsibilities Operate bulldozers and excavators to fine grade building pads and lay pipe Perform labor work as needed, including basic shovel work Assist the road and curb crew with various tasks Utilize equipment such as trackhoes, skid steers, and fine grade bulldozers Work collaboratively with team members to complete construction projects Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of construction experience operating heavy equipment Experience with bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, and other earth-moving equipment Familiarity with grading, site work, and pipe laying Ability to work in various weather conditions Strong commitment to safety practices Additional Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience with a civil grading contractor preferred Willingness to learn and operate additional equipment such as rollers, articulated dump trucks, loaders, and backhoes Ability to prove oneself in a labor role with potential for advancement Why Work Here? Work Environment This is an open-air construction environment where candidates will be exposed to various weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
