The Warehouse Utility operator will spend most of their time operating and monitoring equipment during a constant material flow process. The process consists of operating heavy equipment to receive and unload DSG trucks and load feed hoppers with material to ensure a steady flow to the production line to produce Gypsum Wallboard. The Warehouse Utility will also perform Warehouse Loader tasks when needed, which include loading board onto trailers and rail cars, and operation of equipment to produce Dunnage sticks.

• Safely operate heavy equipment (front-end loader) to receive/unload DSG from trucks into the storage shed and/or outside pads, and load material into feed hoppers for the production line
• communicate with Production team to ensure the correct material is being loaded into feed hoppers

• Manage shed inventory at the direction of the WH Manager and/or Process Engineer
• keep different material sources separated correctly and manageable

• Perform AM inspections of the front-end loader and perform housekeeping tasks around feeders and conveyors

Other Duties:

• Safely Operate lift truck to load gypsum board onto trailers and rail cars while identifying product defects in the process

• Operate Dunnage Machine and complete AM tasks for Dunnage Machine

• Diagram truck and rail orders and ability to help perform Finished Good and Raw Material cycle counts

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

What do you bring?

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of two years forklift experience
• Ability to work in a team-based environment with little to no supervision
• Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
  Preferred Qualifications
• Heavy Equipment and/or Front-End Loader Experience
• Manufacturing experience in a team-based environment
• Familiarity with Safety Programs in a manufacturing facility
• Basic Computer Skills for Training and Reporting needs
• Familiar with any Lean Manufacturing Practices
• Familiar in Autonomous Maintenance practices (Clean/Inspect/Lubricate)

• Flex Schedule
• Night Shift
• 2:00pm
• 10:00 pm (On days the production line is running
• typically Monday-Thursday one week, Monday-Wednesday the next) but subject to change
• 8:30am
• 4:30pm on days production line isn’t running (Thursday and Friday) but subject to change
• Mixture of indoor and outdoor working environment with varying temperature conditions depending on weather. Inside work is not HVAC controlled
• Dry and dusty conditions at times
