Excavator Operator BCJ Construction LLC Wilson, NC 27893 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of excavation equipment and will be responsible for ensuring that all excavation tasks are completed safely and efficiently on construction sites. The Excavator Operator will play a crucial role in the success of our projects, contributing to site preparation, grading, and other essential tasks. Responsibilities Operate excavators and other heavy machinery such as backhoes, bulldozers, and loaders to perform excavation tasks. Execute digging, grading, and trenching operations in accordance with project specifications. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in the operation of dump trucks for material transport as needed. Participate in horizontal drilling operations when required. Maintain clear communication with team members regarding project progress and any potential issues. Experience Proven experience as an Excavator Operator or similar role in the construction industry. Familiarity with commercial driving requirements; a valid driver’s license is preferred. Experience operating dump trucks, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and other heavy machinery is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction site operations and safety practices is essential. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while adhering to deadlines. $22.66 – $23.94 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
