ABOUT THE ROLE

Holcim US, a leading supplier of quality, construction buildingmaterials in the United States, has immediate openings for a LoaderOperator to support operations at the Quarry located in Manquin,Virginia.

This position is primarily resposible for the safe andproper handling, loading, and storage and proper care of aggregatematerials and plant equipment as assigned by the Plant Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Operates a variety of heavy and light equipment and machines tocreate finished products. May feed materials into machines, and transfer material fromone location to another. Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steeringwheel/moves joysticks to operate loader. Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front endloader forward to force bucket into finished product. Conducts pre and post-trip inspections, identifyingmalfunctions and items in need of repair. Perform light maintenance. Assists in keeping the work area clean and organized. Attends and participates in safety toolbox talks, and otheremployee meetings/events. Reports near misses or other safety incidents or accidentspromptly, and in accordance with proper procedures. Adheres to all environmental and safety regulations.

WHAT WEARE LOOKING FOR

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent A minimum of three (3) years of experience operating a salesloader, haul truck, bobcat, dozer and forklift Experience in light maintenance to include electrical,pneumatic, hydraulic systems

Required Work Experience:

2 year of experience directly relatedto the duties and responsibilities specified Excellent oral communication skills with close attention todetail The ideal candidate is motivated, experienced, and carries outwork safely

Required Computer and Software Skills:

Basic computerskills Ability to work in all weather conditions withoutlimitations. Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, asrelevant to job) Reliable transportation

Licenses Required:

N/A Strong safety orientation Additional Requirements Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving andadhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all workenvironments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibitthese behaviors. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols andproper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment(“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators.
