Heavy Equipment Operator N.C. Bratko Construction Hillsborough, NH 03244 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating equipment such as excavators, skid steers and other heavy machinery. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our construction projects while maintaining high safety standards. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including SK210, SK170, mini excavators and skid steers on construction sites. Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate tasks effectively. Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any maintenance performed. Qualifications Proven experience in heavy equipment operation. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations. Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain one is essential. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Must have experience with layout and septic system installations.
