The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring that construction and operational tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe operation of equipment, maintaining machinery, and collaborating with team members to achieve project goals. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, front loaders, backhoes, and cranes to perform various tasks on construction sites. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Safely transport materials using commercial driving skills, including operating concrete mixers and farm machinery as needed. Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate work activities and ensure safety protocols are followed. Execute loader operations effectively, ensuring precision in material handling. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times. Experience Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is essential, with specific skills in bulldoze operation, backhoe operation, crane handling, and loader operation being highly desirable. Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery. Previous experience in commercial driving is a plus, particularly with concrete mixers or farm machinery. Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in heavy equipment operation.
