LOCATION

Skyway Auto Parts, 637 Tifft Street Buffalo

NY, 14220 HOURS

Monday-Friday 7:00AM-4:00PM, Saturdays as needed.

COMPENSATION

$17-21/hr., based on skills and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

Clean and prepare jobsite and yard in a tidy and safe manner. Remove fluids such as gas or oil from vehicles. Remove tires from vehicles. Use a variety of tools and machines; blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment. Use loaders to rotate vehicle inventory throughout the yard. Parking newest vehicles and removing oldest vehicles to be crushed and shipped. Safe handling and/or moving of vehicles. Effective communication with all site personnel. Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance, etc. Daily maintenance of equipment. Identify, report, correct, and/or prevent hazards. Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety, and environmental rules and ensure work is completed in a safe and responsible manner. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis. Work outside in the elements regardless of the season. Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and typical sounds.

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent. Being able to operate bobcats, forklifts, and loaders. Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, twist, and kneel. Quick learner who can follow directions. Good communication skills. Team player. Organized, consistent, and good at multitasking.
