Equipment Operator Champlain Stone 7781 State Route 4, Fort Ann, NY 12827

SUMMARY:

Utilizes a variety of equipment assigned to safely move and haul stone to the appropriate areas within the quarry permitting easy access to the raw materials for processing, heavy equipment may include, but is not limited to: haul trucks, forklift, front end loaders, dozers, back hoes, excavators and other pieces of equipment. Equipment Operators must comply with all MSHA required guidelines regarding equipment, employees safety and record-keeping.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for daily safety checking including documentation. Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to immediate Supervisor. Operates trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling, and unloading of various equipment and materials. Operates equipment only for the use it is intended. If operating an over the road vehicle that CDL employee must adhere to all guidelines for this certification. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
