Job Description:
Keystone SiteWorks is currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our field crew. The ideal candidate has a strong background in site work, earth moving, and utility trenching , and is highly skilled in operating excavators of various sizes with accuracy and safety. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where reliability and professionalism are key.
Responsibilities:
Operate excavators to perform trenching, grading, backfilling, and general site preparation Operate other machinery (i.e. Bulldozer, Loader, Skid Steer, etc.) to complete other facets of site work requirements. Rough and Fine Grading of large and small sites. Dig and place water, storm, and sanitary sewer lines to spec Safely maneuver around utilities, structures, and tight job site conditions Read and understand site plans, grades, and trenching depths Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance Work collaboratively with pipe crews, foremen, and site supervisors Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as an excavator operator in civil/site construction Proficient in trench work and installing underground utilities Proficient in bulk earth work, as well as keeping sites on grade Ability to read grade stakes, laser levels, and construction plans Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus) OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred but not required
