Excavator/Equipment Operator AAF Landscaping & Excavation Inc East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, including excavators and backhoes, to support various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities Operate excavators and backhoes for digging, grading, and other construction tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist in horizontal drilling operations as required for utility installations. Safely transport materials using dump trucks and other heavy equipment. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in paving activities as part of road construction projects. Report any mechanical issues or concerns with equipment to supervisors promptly. Skills Proficient in heavy equipment operation, specifically excavators and backhoes. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining machinery. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of site safety practices. Familiarity with paving techniques and equipment used in road construction. Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery is preferred but not mandatory. Capability to operate dump trucks for material transportation.
