Bulkheads, and cribbing around items; and/or plans, constructs, and repairs a variety of supply shipping and storage containers and similar items. Operes one or more vehicles which typically have an approxime gross vehicle weight of more than 26,000 pounds up to 32,000 pounds on public roads highway speeds or the equivalent. Additional informion Physical Effort The employee frequently lifts, holds, and carries moderely heavy objects, e.g., cables, chains, and shackles. On occasion, the employee climbs on/off plforms and in/out of open rail cars to tach rigging or to signal the crane operor. When installing rigging gear, the employee kneels, reaches, bends, stoops, pushes, and pulls. Since rigging gear is tached to bulky and unwieldy merial, the employee must have to work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Work involves some standing or walking for prolonged periods of time. Work requires frequent physical exertion such as lifting and carrying rigging gear and be required to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and climb, when installing weight handling gear. Working Conditions Work is primarily performed in a physical distribution installion environment. Most rigging work performed outdoors. Other work may be performed in enclosed warehouses/buildings or outdoor staging/storage areas. The employee is exposed to prevailing weher conditions. . If working in hazardous merials areas, may be subject to exposure from radiion, toxins, explosive hazards, or chemical fumes. Assignments may be performed in work areas th are noisy with heavy mobile equipment (crane) and MHE traffic.
