Front End Loader Operator Blackville Key Responsibilities:

• Perform light and preventive maintenance on equipment as required and according to scheduled plans.
• Operate various mobile equipment as needed to support plant operations.
• Monitor bark (fuel) production levels and maintain adequate inventory within the fuel bunker.
• Troubleshoot and analyze bark production and quality to ensure optimal performance of the Energy Plant.
• Load trucks efficiently with bark for transport.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards consistently across all plant areas.
• Adhere strictly to the MDF Plant Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Apply basic mathematical skills to perform measurements and inventory calculations related to bark stock.
• Demonstrate commitment to company safety protocols by always promoting and enforcing safety requirements.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by MDF Plant Management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years in production plant environment
• Experienced heavy equipment operator preferred
• Proficient in operating log crane and front-end loader
• Advanced HMI (Human-Machine Interface) skills
• Proficient in operating automated equipment and systems
• Capable of reading and comprehending technical operation and maintenance manuals
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation
• Strong work ethic and sense of duty
• Ability to mentor and cross-train team members
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Resilient and reliable
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively
• Quick decision-maker with sound judgment High school diploma or equivalent Fluent English (oral and written)
• Flexible scheduling including Rotating shifts (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am), Overtime, Nights, weekends, and holidays
• On-call responsiveness
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable in varied physical positions (sitting, walking, climbing)
• Strong vision capabilities (close, distance, color, peripheral)
• Manufacturing setting
• Exposure to various environmental conditions
• Potential proximity to mechanical parts

Internal:

Coordination with departments such as MDF, Shipping, Maintenance, and Administration.
