Heavy Equipment Operator IntraCoastal Construction N Charleston, SC 29406 Overview We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with the ability to work in the tri-county area. A heavy equipment operator will safely and efficiently use various equipment to excavate, grade, lift and transport materials. This position will require use of both smaller and larger scale heavy equipment along with basic labor duties. Responsibilities Interpreting project plans Ability to manage multiple projects Identify potential problems and address these items proactively Adhere to project plans, work orders and directions from supervisors Inspect work to ensure quality standards with attention to detail Maintain site records and reports Adhere to safety regulations, building codes and company policy Basic and routine maintenance Requirements 3-5 years’ experience in similar role Ability to interrupt blueprints Understand cut/fills Set grades Experience operating equipment during site development including GPS Experience fine grading Field experience working around utilities overhead and underground Proficient in building retention ponds to appropriate slopes Valid Drivers License Communication and Problem-solving skills Knowledge of the construction process High school diploma/GED Flexible availability to include possible overtime and weekends Benefits 401K with
