POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Activities mayinclude, but are not limited to operating all forms of earthmovingequipment, friction and hydraulic cranes, forklifts, small handtools, cleaning, preventative maintenance and minor repairs toequipment. Environment is exclusively outside, thus the job ofteninvolves all weather extremes. Work requires alert individual withgood eyesight, hearing, balance, and physical strength. Craneoperators must meet physical requirements established by applicable

ASME/ANSI

standards. Safely transports and moves equipment asassigned, using lifts and Forklifts Keeps the lot clean andorganized as instructed by management Professionally maintains andcleans equipment as assigned Supports technicians in completingtasks as needed Setting wood, concrete, vinyl, and sheet pilingsfor dock supports, seawall slabs, house foundations, etc. Dredgingusing a clam bucket or drag-line as well as hook work Rigging forabove activities as well as for other types of material andequipment loads Assembly and disassembly of the crane and barge formaintenance or mobile projects Perform daily maintenance of crane,barge, and propulsion equipment Troubleshoot any issues associatedwith the crane, barge, and propulsion equipment Safely andeffectively operate various types and sizes of heavy civilconstruction equipment including but not limited to dozers,tractors, scrapors, loaders and excavators. Follow all companysafety policies and procedures. Operate equipment in an efficientmanner and follow instruction of on-site management. Follow allequipment monitoring and maintenance requirements. Completes allother tasks as requested by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years’ of experience as an operator on Marine/Heavy Civilconstruction projects. NCCCO Certified TWIC Card Proficiency inpre-shift inspections and able to identify mechanical issues.

Industry level knowledge of safety and work site hazards Ability tooperate both hydraulic and friction cranes. Ability to operatecranes performing duty cycle work. Understand construction safetystandards and productively work safely. Willing to work out of townand travel to project locations. Valid Driver’s License andreliable transportation. Availability and willingness to workweekends and night shifts per business needs. Availability andwillingness to work out of town and travel to project location.
