Qualifications:

• Have a valid driver’s license, CDL and/or medical certification as required for the vehicle being operated.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Herbicide Certification and licensing as required by Lewis Tree Service Policy and local, state and federal laws. Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to perform physical labor such as lifting a minimum of 50 lbs to shoulder height or more. Must be able to hear, speak and see; Ability to walk one mile or more.
• Must be capable of operating two handed equipment (chain saw, circular saw etc.) and have the physical ability to endure extreme climate variances.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid cards.
• If involved in tree operations must be familiar with and meet the qualifications in this Manual that pertain to tree work.

Nature of Duties:

• Proper maintenance and inspection of equipment as needed per Lewis Tree Service Policy and/or per manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Proper operation and safe guarding of equipment per Lewis Tree Service Policy and/or per manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Be familiar with the contract job specifications.
• Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around the working areas.
• Reports any equipment problems, damage and/or all accidents to the Crew Leader.
• Responsible for enforcement of all safety policies and other duties as assigned.

Aptitudes:

• Debe contar con una licencia de conducir válida, Licencia Comercial para conducir y/o certificación médica requerida para el vehículo que se va a operar.
• Debe poder obtener y mantener una Certificación de Manejo de Herbicidas y el licenciamiento requerido por la política de Lewis Tree Service, así como la legislación estatal, local y federal aplicable. Debe contar con aptitudes mecánicas
• Debe poder llevar a cabo trabajo físico como levantar como mínimo peso de 50 libras a la altura del hombro. Debe poder escuchar, hablar, ver y poder caminar al menos una milla.
• Debe poder operar equipo cuya utilización requiere las dos manos (motosierra, sierra circular, etc.) y debe estar en condiciones físicas de soportar variaciones extremas en la temperatura.
• Debe obtener y mantener cartillas de capacitación de reanimación cardiopulmonar y primeros auxilios.
• Si está involucrado con operaciones con árboles debe estar familiarizado y cumplir con las calificaciones de este manual relativas al trabajo con árboles.
  Características principales de los deberes:
• Mantenimiento e inspección correspondientes del equipo en la medida que lo requiera la política de Lewis Tree Service y/o las recomendaciones del fabricante.
• Operación correcta y salvaguarda del equipo en la medida que lo requiera la política de Lewis Tree Service y/o las recomendaciones del fabricante.
• Debe estar familiarizado con las especificaciones laborales del contrato.
• Protege a los empleados y al público en contra de peligros dentro y alrededor del área de trabajo.
• Reportar todo problema con el equipo, daño y/o todos los incidentes al líder de cuadrilla.
• Es responsable de ejercer todas las políticas de seguridad y otras obligaciones que se le asignen.
