Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Lead Residential Painter & Drywall Finisher to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing residential painting projects while also performing expert drywall finishing. The ideal candidate will lead a crew, manage job site operations, and ensure high-quality results in both painting and drywall preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate residential painting and drywall finishing crews on interior and exterior projects. Perform drywall repairs including taping, mudding, sanding, patching, and texture matching. Ensure all surfaces are properly prepared prior to painting: sanding, priming, caulking, and cleaning. Apply paints, stains, and finishes with brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Communicate clearly with team members and clients to ensure project expectations are met. Conduct quality inspections and resolve any issues to ensure a clean, finished look. Maintain safe, clean job sites and enforce safety practices. Train and mentor junior painters and finishers.
Requirements:
3+ years of residential painting and drywall finishing experience, including leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of drywall repair, patching, and texturing techniques. Skilled in surface preparation and residential paint applications. Ability to manage teams, communicate professionally with homeowners, and meet deadlines. Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and performing hands-on work. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. Zero Drug Tolerance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cabinet painting, popcorn ceiling removal, and specialty finishes. Familiarity with Sherwin-Williams product lines. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
