Are you ready to bring precision and artistry together in a dynamic work environment? Precision Technical Finishing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, visually stunning products that meet the rigorous standards our customers expect.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for priming and final painting of detail parts and final assemblies to current spec requirements Maintain paint equipment, mix paint, paint control. Follow standard operating procedures and specifications Mixes paint per instruction from paint vendor or paint specifications, cleans and store painting equipment to include PPE Wash, wipe and sand parts when necessary Prep parts for paint as required Cure parts after topcoat application Operate Chart recorders
Job Accountabilities:
Utilize the proper PPE supplied equipment Cleans and prepares surfaces to be painted by cleaning, sanding, priming Ability to mix the correct ratio required Applying paint with sprayers, brushes, rollers and flow coating Knowledge of different types of paints and finishes Ability to produce high quality work in a fast pace working environment Ability to read and understand specifications, blueprints, procedures, work instructions, standards, MSDS sheets Ability to work independently and interface with cross-functional disciplines; using excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion Self-motivated with problem solving and decision-making skills Ability to adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities Team player Excellent hand skills Willing to work flexible hours and overtime Good mechanical aptitude High attention to detail Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions given by Supervisor / Manager or customer expectations and requirements Per ITP/ Specifications Complete required certs and paperwork legibly for documentation performs incidental duties such as masking, forklift operation, and other duties as assigned. AS9100 and NADCAP experience Experience with E2 (JobBoss II) a strong plus Powder coating experience a plus
Qualifications:
Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Ability to interpret blueprints 3+ years of experience in Aerospace/MIL Spec paint processes
