The ideal candidate will have experience in both construction and industrial painting, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques and materials. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret schematics, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; perform minor repairs as necessary. Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure a cohesive finish on all projects. Execute trim carpentry tasks as needed to enhance the overall aesthetic of painted surfaces. Work with stucco finishes and ensure proper application techniques are followed. Utilize hand tools effectively for various tasks related to painting and finishing work. Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting and industrial painting is preferred. Familiarity with trim carpentry techniques is a plus. Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately. Experience with stucco application is advantageous. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools related to painting tasks. Welding skills are a nice-to-have but not required for this position.
