Marine Painters are responsible for accomplishing work in accordance with work specifications safely, with the highest quality, in a professional manner. Regular, reliable attendance on-site is an essential function of the job.

• Job Location:

  Jacksonville, FL

• Shipyard Painters Requirements:

• Must have experience working on ships
• Must have full knowledge of WAF’s
• Must have basic knowledge of Standard Items
• Must have basic knowledge of shop equipment
• Must have knowledge of mixing and application of epoxy and enamel paints
• Must have knowledge of brushing and rolling painting
• Must know how to use power tools associated with surface preparation and paint removal
• Must have knowledge of surface preparation SSPC-SP-1,SP-2, SP-3, SP-5,SP-6,SP-10,SP-11 and SP-12
• Must possess knowledge of the differences between critical coated systems and non-critical coated systems.
• Must have knowledge concerning paint induction times and also have some knowledge of spray painting or pumpkin (gas free) procedures
• Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment screening.
• OSHA Certified or willing to obtain training
• Must be able to obtain DBIDs for NAVY Base Access
