Furniture and Cabinet Painter Vivant Event Rentals Tampa, FL 33605
Job Summary:
We are a Tampa based furniture rental company seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinetry/Furniture Painter to perform painting projects on a part time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and collaborate with a small team of furniture builders
- Perform all work according to safety regulations
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Assist with other general maintenance tasks as required
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, stripping, wire brushing, sanding, caulking, putty, or bondo
- Apply paint or stains using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Utilize power tools for sanding and finishing work
- Refurbish/paint various types of materials such as wood, metal, MDF, etc.
- Perform airless paint spraying for large surface areas
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Painter, Furniture Painter, Finish Carpentry Painter, or other similar role. Candidates with only interior/exterior surface painting experience will be declined.
- Strong knowledge of various painting formulations, techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor as required. Ability to lift 50 lbs solo and 100 lbs team lift. Must possess a strong commitment to safety and serve as a safety leader by example. OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
- Hyper attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Proficiency with airless paint sprayers
- A positive attitude, superior teamwork skills, strong organization skills, taking initiative Must possess a valid driver’s license.
