This will be a seasonal position. Painter is only needed for the next couple of months. Monday through Friday schedule. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of construction-related tasks. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes in both residential and commercial settings. The Painter will work collaboratively with other tradespeople to deliver exceptional results on time and within project specifications. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment. Perform trim carpentry and drywall repairs as needed to ensure a smooth and professional finish. Execute caulking and plastering tasks to seal gaps and enhance the durability of painted surfaces. Collaborate with team members on construction estimating to ensure accurate project planning. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, including hand tools used for painting and construction tasks. Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site to ensure a safe working environment. Skills Proficient in construction painting techniques with attention to detail for quality finishes. Experience in trim carpentry and drywall work is highly desirable. Knowledge of maintenance person skills including masonry and plastering is a plus. Familiarity with construction estimating processes to assist in project planning. Ability to effectively use caulking tools and airless paint spraying equipment. Strong aptitude for using hand tools safely and efficiently in various tasks related to painting and construction.
