ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(To be completed without harming or injuring the resident/patient, co-worker, self, or others):
- Apply paint and other coatings to drywall and other surfaces.
- Sand or clean surfaces prior to painting.
- Patch walls and perform other prep tasks, as necessary.
- Assist with mixing paint colors if necessary.
- Drywall repair or replacement.
- Cove base repair or replacement.
- Use of variety tools to achieve the desired finish.
- Perform final inspection to ensure quality and accuracy of work.
- Understands, and can follow, the Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) established by the facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Effective verbal, written and communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak English; and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
One plus years of experience. High school diploma or GED preferred. Skill with paint and other products and tools. Physical strength and stamina, including good balance and steady hands. Attention to detail. Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines. Excellent time management skills. Ability to work alone. Previous experience working with power tools.
