The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential painting and remodeling, with the ability to lead projects from start to finish. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing painting projects, ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and safety. Duties Lead and manage painting projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, caulking, and applying primer as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and remodelers to coordinate tasks. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Provide guidance and training to junior painters and assistants on best practices. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Experience The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Proficiency in residential painting techniques and materials. Experience operating spray equipment effectively. Experience in construction estimating and project management is a plus. Familiarity with frame carpentry, remodeling practices, and maintenance person tasks. Knowledge of caulking techniques. Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
