The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing painting projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong background in construction painting, as well as proficiency in various carpentry and renovation techniques. The Lead Painter will work closely with other tradespeople and manage a team of painters to deliver exceptional results on time. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate painting projects, ensuring all work meets quality standards and deadlines. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including carpenters and masons, to ensure seamless project execution. Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to painting and renovation. Perform frame carpentry and trim carpentry tasks as required during projects. Conduct regular inspections of work areas to maintain safety protocols and cleanliness. Train and mentor junior painters on best practices and techniques in construction painting. Assist in drywall installation and caulking as part of the finishing process. Experience Proven experience in construction painting with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in frame carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry, and renovation techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with operating power tools safely in a construction environment. Knowledge of drywall installation processes and caulking methods is an advantage. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
