Nature and Scope:
We are looking for a skilled painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces.
Minimum eligibility requirements
Relevant work experience (2+ years preferred).Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply.
Solid knowledge ofmercial and/or construction painting techniques.
Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.).Excellent basic math skillsManual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
Conscientious with great attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must havepassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
Practice and promotepanys Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles.
Must have valid driver license.
Must meet all health requirements.
Must pass criminal background check.
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable amodation.
Essential functions
Maintenance
Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texturePaint surfaces according to instructions with various toolsApply varnish and other finishesCalculate costs
Customer service
Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner.
Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.
Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors include anyone who visits themunity; specifically, current residents families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators).
