The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and general labor, with experience in various construction tasks. This role involves working on both residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The Painter/Laborer will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and assisting with renovation tasks as needed. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Assist in renovation projects including trim carpentry and plaster work. Operate power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects. Perform concrete finishing tasks as required by specific projects. Utilize knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate color schemes. Contribute to construction estimating by providing input on materials and labor needs. Requirements Proven experience as a painter or in a related labor position. Familiarity with carpentry skills is a plus; trim carpentry experience is highly desirable. Proficient in using power tools and other equipment safely. Knowledge of plastering techniques and concrete finishing is preferred. Strong understanding of color theory and its application in painting projects. Ability to maintain focus on quality while working efficiently under deadlines. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
