The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and finishing by using sandblasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of various materials, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Sandblaster will play a crucial role in restoring and maintaining the quality of our products, ensuring they meet industry standards. Duties Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting or finishing. Apply appropriate techniques for different materials, including metal, wood, and stucco. Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections and minor repairs as needed. Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely completion of projects. Follow safety protocols to protect yourself and others from hazardous materials. Restore surfaces to their original condition while adhering to color theory principles for accurate finishes. Assist in industrial and commercial painting projects as required. Skills Proficiency in sandblasting techniques and equipment operation. Knowledge of color theory and its application in painting and finishing. Experience with industrial painting and commercial painting practices. Familiarity with frame carpentry and general carpentry skills is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards. Capability to restore various surfaces while understanding the specific requirements of each material. Starting pay is : $16.00 – pay will increase by $1.00 per 30 days up till 90 days. Pay will be set @ $18.00 per hour after the 90 days have been met.
