The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of color theory and experience in both commercial and residential painting. This position requires proficiency in using power tools, fixture installation, and basic carpentry skills. The Painter/Laborer will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality in all painting projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; perform minor repairs as necessary. Install fixtures and assist with carpentry tasks as required during projects. Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate execution of design plans. Utilize basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities needed for projects. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards. Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial and residential painting is preferred. Strong understanding of color theory and application techniques. Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation. Basic carpentry skills are a plus; ability to build or repair structures as needed. Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
