NEED PAINTER PER DIEM FOR 3RD SHIFT
- SURGICAL
UNIT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL PAY!
Under general supervision and according to established procedures, performs necessary painting, and refinishing of interior and exterior building surfaces and furnishings. In doing so smooths surface, fills holes and cracks and applies coats of paint, varnish, stains, wall coverings and the like, using such equipment as paint, brushes, rollers and scrapers. Qualifications Experience Minimum Required
- 3 years related experience preferred.
- Must have competence in repairing walls, matching paint colors, and wallpaper installation/ repair. Experience Preferred/Desired
- 5 years related experience preferred.
- Must have competence in repairing walls, matching paint colors, and wallpaper installation/ repair. Education Minimum Required
- High School or equivalent graduate. Knowledge of state and local building codes, blueprint reading and use of tools and materials. Ability to estimate time and materials needed to complete a job. Education Preferred/Desired
- Trade school graduate Special Skills Minimum Required
- Must have the ability to apply even coats of paints, varnishes and so forth by use of brushes, rollers and spray compressors neatly and efficiently.
Also, must have the ability to mix plaster and retardant and to evenly and skillfully apply plaster to a variety of surfaces and pipes. Work requires the ability to lift heavy cans of paint and may involve occasional (less than 20% of the time) light to moderate exertion of manual effort in transporting materials, equipment, ladders and scaffolding and regular walking, standing and climbing ladders and scaffolds and extensions of arm in using brushes and rollers.
