Painter/Laborer KBen Holding LLC Elmira Heights, NY 14903 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential painting and a solid understanding of construction site operations. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and assisting with various labor tasks on-site. The Painter/Laborer will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. •This is a part-time/as needed job. Basically, when we are notified of a residential apartment being vacated you will be notified of the vacancy timeframe. We will then schedule a time to meet at the vacant apartment to review the work that needs to be completed. You can then schedule your own hours that fit within your existing schedule to complete the work. Each job will need to be completed in a timely manner. We don’t know when or how often an apartment will be vacated; therefore, we don’t know how many hours will be available each week. There could be multiple continuous weeks without work. There is also a cleaning position open that can be included with this position to acquire more hours if interested. The majority of the properties are located in the Elmira Heights area, and some properties are located in the Watkins Glen area. You would need to have your own transportation. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Utilize power tools for various tasks including fixture installation and frame carpentry. Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Assist in the renovation of structures by applying stucco or other materials as required. Perform basic math calculations to measure areas and determine quantities of materials needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of projects. Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting is preferred. Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation is essential. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material needs are required. Understanding of color theory to ensure proper color matching and application techniques. Experience working on construction sites is a plus, with an emphasis on safety practices. Knowledge of fixture installation techniques and frame carpentry is beneficial. Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
