JOB DESCRIPTION
COMMERCIAL
PAINTERS
are responsible for painting the interiors and exteriors of commercial properties.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for accomplishing all painting services for the Engineering Department. Applies various finishes to buildings, rooms, other structures, and roadway surface lots, including primers or sealers. Prepares, cleans, and tapes all jobsites. Prepares walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, etc. Mixes colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency. Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned. Cleans up worksite debris and posts wet paint signs in area of painting. Fills cracks and holes with appropriate material. Paints surfaces according to instructions with various tools. Always demonstrates exemplary behavior contributing to the total team concept of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
1+ years commercial painter experience Drug test and Background check required. High School Diploma/GED – preferred TB Test & Flu Shot MMR Vaccinations
PREFERRED SKILLS
Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers. Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
