At Stoneridge Apartments in Columbia, SC, we strive to maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-kept living environment. We’re seeking a reliable and skilled Painter/Groundskeeper to support our maintenance team and enhance the resident experience. Position Overview The Painter/Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of both the apartment interiors and exterior grounds. This role requires a dependable, detail-oriented individual who can interact professionally with residents and work effectively as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Painting & Surface Restoration Perform interior painting for apartment units at turnovers and touch ups in communal spaces Conduct drywall repairs and ceiling retexturing to prepare units for new residents Complete countertop and bathtub resurfacing to restore finishes and prolong asset life Groundskeeping Duties Conduct daily grounds pickup and trash collection to maintain property cleanliness Assist with evictions and unit trash-outs as needed Maintain an assigned section of the property grounds to ensure a neat, landscaped appearance Team Support & Resident Interaction Support the maintenance team with on-site tasks as required Interact professionally with residents while working in and around occupied units Communicate clearly, courteously, and respectfully in a customer-service-oriented environment Qualifications Prior apartment or property painting experience is highly preferred Strong skills in drywall, resurfacing, and texture matching Comfortable working independently and in shared spaces with residents present Experience and knowledge with resurfacing tubs and countertops is a plus Must be able to perform physical tasks such as bending, walking the property, and occasional lifting of tools or materials Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Compensation & Schedule Hourly Wage:
$18•20/hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM, with occasional overtime as needed
